Our Project Architects are directly involved in project delivery from schematic design through construction and occupancy and are an essential member of our project teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and support a team-centered atmosphere, empowering all disciplines and project team members to work together to achieve project goals
  • Maintain highest levels of professionalism, accountability and performance
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and owners throughout all project phases including design, construction and post-occupancy to achieve client’s project goals
  • Coordinate and monitor project participants, ensuring individual job assignments are completed on time and meet established standards
  • Monitor project assignments and performance against scope, schedule, and budget
  • Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts and design criteria, and prepare reports, calculations, and detailed design and construction documents
  • Conduct preliminary field surveys, develop designs and draft preliminary plans
  • Assist in developing probable cost estimates
  • Participate in presentation of plans and documents to governing and permitting authorities for land use, zoning and permit approvals
  • Observe the inspection of construction projects while in progress and upon completion for adherence to plans and specifications; advise contractors on the interpretation of the plans and specifications
  • Prepare detailed construction documents
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance program throughout life of project


  • Master’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in architectural practice as a project architect on technical projects is required
  • Licensed Architect; NCARB and LEED accreditation preferred
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, other 3D modeling software and Microsoft Office; Deltek Vision preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Ability to consistently meet and enforce deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams comprised of various technical disciplines, skill levels and levels of authority
  • Sound decision-making, delegating, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service
  • Self-motivated and with a strong work ethic and personally driven to consistently meet or exceed project design and performance goals
