A Guide for the Future As a lead partner of a multi-disciplinary team, Hoefer Wysocki developed a long-range master plan for Kansas State University in Manhattan consisting of 550 acres north of the core campus. Our team worked with various university stakeholders to validate past planning initiatives and facilitate a process to determine additional aspirations as the university works toward the goal of becoming one of the country’s premier research institutions by 2025. This master plan knitted together the numerous existing plans for academic, research, student life, and administration that integrated long-range goals with the City of Manhattan. The team explored multiple alternative approaches to campus development, including mobility and amenities for both academic and anticipated private-sector investments.
