Whiteman AFB Communications Facility Ground Breaking

The official ground breaking to begin the construction of the Whiteman Air Force Base Communications Facility took place on August 25, 2009. This 37,750 SF 2-story design-build project is expected to be complete in September of 2010.

HWA Welcomes 2 New Employees!

HWA is pleased to welcome Andrew Cortez and Patrick Smith to the team!

Andrew is an Architecture and Business Management graduate from the University of Kansas. While in school he was a KU Architecture School Tour Guide and was involved in the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). His community service includes Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lawrence Community Outreach Program member and Saint Lawrence Catholic Campus Center member.

Patrick graduated from Kansas State University with a Degree in Architecture. While in school he was also involved in the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and was a Tutor at Douglas Center for underprivileged children.


Clinic Modernization at Luke AFB Construction Progress

Phase I of the Clinic Modernization for 56th Medical Group at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona is complete. Phase II of this 77,600 SF renovation project is scheduled to be complete in February of 2010. Our scope of work includes heavy renovation of Optometry, Logistics, storage, Allergy and Immunization, Family Practice, Surgery and Orthopedics, Acute Care, Pediatric Clinic, Levels 2 and 3 Demolition of former inpatient space, Physical Therapy, Mental Health, Life Skills, Adapt, Family Advocacy, Public Health, Command, Readiness, IT, Resource Management and TOPA/TSC.

HWA Office Summer Gathering

On Friday afternoon HWA closed down the office at noon to celebrate 14 years in business. We enjoyed swimming, barbecue and refreshing summer drinks. Here’s to 14+ more years!
