The $49.2 million renovation of a medical clinic at Hurlburt Field AFB in Mary Esther, Fla. is the latest project we have won in association with our general contracting partner, JE Dunn. Together, our partnership with JE Dunn has designed and constructed more than $650 million in healthcare facilities across the country.

The 81,000 sq. foot project is a complete renovation and modernization of an outdated facility and includes a 2,200 sq. foot expansion. The entire project will take slightly more than three years to complete from planning, design to construction. Hoefer Wysocki’s new Clinical Technology Solutions group will also be involved in this project providing technology design and medical equipment planning. The renovated facility will be designed to LEED Silver certifications.

“We have a great, long-lasting partnership with the U.S. Air Force and JE Dunn that is completely committed to providing excellent healthcare to our military service personnel and veterans,” says our Founder and CEO Mitch Hoefer. “This partnership has been going on for years now and it is good to see it continue to add value in providing world-class healthcare services.”

The project team includes ME Group, Henderson Engineers, Mitchell Planning, Walker and Moore, BHC Rhodes, Bob D. Campbell and Co., Smith Seckman Reid, and Protection Engineering Consultants.

The 1st Special Operations Medical Group is stationed at Hurlburt Field.

Clinical Technology Solutions: Offering More Options to Hospital Owners

Clinical Technology Solutions (CTS)

The moment a patient steps into a hospital, clinical technology and information technology are integrated throughout every aspect of the patient care experience.

Imagine the technology ecosystem of a hospital as a pool of clear water. Now, imagine new technology dropped into that ecosystem. The first ripple changes to the ecosystem of the hospital is the easiest to see, whether it be impact to an individual system or a space. It’s the second, third or fourth ripple affecting other systems that unbalance healthcare operations.

Specialists who understand the staggering amount of technology solutions in the market and advise on alternatives to fulfill each unique facility’s design are invaluable. Hoefer Wysocki’s Clinical Technology Solutions (CTS) team provides a wide array of options to hospital owners. Our CTS team approaches planning holistically. We incorporate key clinical and technical strategies, weaving them into the design of the healing environment.

Hoefer Wysocki understands how technologies impact each other. This is not limited to an individual system or space, but incorporates the overall clinical technology strategy. Our approach combines the oversight, process, leadership and strategy with the innovation of industry-leading manufacturers. Our CTS team transcends the traditional silo-based technology design approach. This allows for vision, innovation and the application of a clinically-centered technology.

BBBS Most Wanted Auction NonProfit Blog

Rob Welker, president and partner at Hoefer Wysocki, successfully raised more than $42,000 for the nonprofit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City (BBBSKC).

Rob was among 38 honorees in BBBSKC’s “Most Wanted” campaign. Honorees are recognized for being movers and shakers who are making a big difference in their profession and in their community.

The “Most Wanted” campaign concluded on December 3 with a live auction at the Midland Theatre, where Rob was recognized as the campaign’s top fundraiser. Hoefer Wysocki was proud to support Rob as he surpassed his goal of raising $30,000 for the nonprofit organization.

BBBSKC has served more than 20,000 at-risk youth in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Serving more than 1,700 youth each year, BBSKC provides children facing adversity with one-to-one, life-changing friendships with adult mentors.

BBSKC believes that youth who have a positive adult influence in his or her life are better able to reach their full potential. Children and youth in the program are 75 percent more likely to graduate, and report higher self-esteem, improved academic performance and better attitudes toward education.

Pay It Forward on #GivingTuesday

As Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday quickly come and go, it’s easy to get swept up in the commercial side of the holidays. Take a break this season by giving back on #GivingTuesday to nonprofits who lend a helping hand to those in need.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year-giving. Since its inception in 2012, #GivingTuesday has evolved into a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year, and a growing catalog of resources.

At Hoefer Wysocki, we believe in giving back to our community. We do this by supporting a variety of events and charitable organizations. Here are some of the organizations we support that will benefit from donations this holiday season:
